The Coalition to Advance Learning in Archives, Libraries and Museums works in deliberate coordination across organizational boundaries to devise and strengthen sustainable continuing education and professional development (CE/PD) programs that will transform the archives, library, and museum workforce in ways that lead to measureable impact on our nation’s communities.
The Coalition brings together public, private or nonprofit organizations that are investing in, leading, or delivering CE/PD nationally, as well as individuals who are passionate and knowledgeable about CE/PD. Representatives of participating organizations dedicate up to 10 hours per month to Coalition activities and actively collaborate to help advance more sustainable and effective CE/PD nationally.
The Coalition is supported by grants from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (grant #RE-00-13-0092-13) and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, with administration provided by OCLC.
